At Tollchester we believe Tollers and Manchesters are breeds that should have it all....health, temperament, soundness, working ability and breed type.

For our breeding program at Tollchester, we've set very high goals. First and foremost is the production of healthy, sound puppies with ideal temperaments and conformation. Every breeding is planned months in advance with the goal of producing top quality show dogs that possess the ability to "work". A wise person once told me "breeders should never breed dogs that aren't needed for their breeding progam. All breedings should be done with the same goal in mind, to produce top quality dogs you the breeder would want to keep".So whether your Toller or Manchester is to be a show, obedience, agility, hunting, earth trials, lure coursing or family dog, each litter is produced with the same goals in mind. We feel very strongly about having health clearances (OFA/OVC hips, CERF/Optigen eyes, Heart Test, Thyroid Testing, and VWD (Manchesters)) on all dogs/bitches used for breeding. We do not use dogs/bitches in our breeding program that have any type of genetic defect or disorder, nor dogs that are not within the breed standard in any way.

Following a very wise practice "quality over quantity" we produce litters only occasionally. They are whelped in our home and are raised "underfoot" until they are ready to go to their new homes at 9-16 weeks of age. Puppies are socialized with other dogs, cats, people and children. All puppies are started on basic retrieving, obedience, crate-training and housebreaking. We perform puppy aptitude testing on all our puppies, prior to placing them in their new homes. Our puppy aptitude test are to make sure the right puppy goes the the right home. We stress proper socialization and training at an early age!

At Tollchester, all our dogs are holistically raised and are fed on BARF. All our puppies are weaned onto the BARF diet for optimum health, nutrition and development. We are very concerned about over-vaccination, and support the limited vaccine protocol. Vaccination is an issue where more is not better! Please ask for more information.

All puppies are sold with a comprehensive written sales contract/guarantee plus a lifetime of help, advice and assistance to all our puppy buyers! Puppies are tattooed/micro-chipped and registered with the Canadian Kennel Club. Contact me for a copy of our Contract.

Every puppy is sold on a CKC non-breeding agreement, if you wish to breed this can be lifted later only if the puppy is put onto a co-ownership contract with the breeder, passes all health clearances, obtains at least 2 titles, meets the breed standard, and has a good temperament. All pet puppies that are not going to be used for show or breeding will be spayed/neutered prior to leaving the breeders home.
